Lavender Blue is by LA International who carries a double cross of Souvenir. Souvenir is the first outstanding Olympic performance producer in Australian history. Souvenir progeny include Mickey Mouse who with Vicki Roycroft placed 10th at the 1990 WEG, the best result of any Australian combination ever. Other Souvenir legends include Tongala, Autograph, Silveneer, Supreme, McCartney and Burgundy. In eventing souvenir is the grandsire of double team gold medallist Peppermint Grove ridden by Gill Rolton and team gold medallist Kibah Sandstone ridden by Matt Ryan. On the dam side of Lavender Blue is Salute. Salute has outstanding progeny across all disciplines including Victory Salute ridden by Brett Parbery placing 9th at the WEG in Kentucky in the Grand Prix dressage. The stallion Staccato is a son of Salute. Staccato was ranked World Number 1 leading eventing sire. Sandhills Brillaire and Panamera are both by Staccato and have both won the 4* at Adelaide. Lavender Blue is in foal to eventing stallion Wimborne Constable. Wimborne Constable has just completed his first 3* and is looking very exciting. Lavender Blue’s genetics combined with Wimborne Constable is exactly where the front line eventing superstars of tomorrow are going to come from.
