Splendidly Royal is a beautiful horse with a beautiful soul to match. He has exceptional movement - his walk shows great over track, his canter is expressive and his trot is a highlight with super suspension and rhythm and hocks that come right under. He shows a flair for both extension and collection. Royal was broken in at 6yo due to his owner’s work commitments. He has been lightly campaigned at preliminary level by his owner, scoring more than 70%, and for the past few months, Royal has been in training with professional rider Katina Smith. He is now accomplished at novice and elementary work is developing nicely. Royal is by the premium Oldenburg stallion Royal Hit. Royal Hit was performance-tested in Germany with 8s and 9s for basic gaits and rideability, and a perfect score of 10 for conformation/character. A number of Royal Hit’s progeny have been successful in Young Horse Classes through to Grand Prix in Australia while Willinga Park and Brett Parbery are campaigning the Royal Hit stallion Bloomfield Royalist. Royal has the quality to join his siblings in the placings. Royal has an interesting dam line from the Splendid’s Elegance, Trakehner-TB cross. This mare produces foals with lovely temperaments and excellent movement. Royal is pleasure to deal with on the ground as well as under saddle. He enjoys attention and routine. He would make a great partner for a serious dressage rider.
