Blue Note is an impressive brown mare who is purpose bred for eventing. Her sire, Highland Blue Diamond, is an up-and-coming young stallion who is recognised as a “freak” jumper. Highland Blue Diamond’s sire is Celtic Blue Diamond who was a Grand Prix showjumper in the USA. Highland Blue Diamond also carries a number of proven thoroughbred jumping lines including Sir Ivor, Sir Gaylord, Agricola, Precipitation, Summertime, Zephyr Zip and Hyperion. Most of the above-mentioned stallions are straight thoroughbred and the horses winning and placing highly at 4* eventing around the world almost always have a significant amount of thoroughbred blood in their pedigree. Blue Note is a little under half-thoroughbred, which will be of huge value at the top. Blue Note’s dam, Sing Song R, is by Salute. Sing Song R is actually a full sister to Kenare Snow Shoes who showjumped at World Cup level with Vicki Roycroft. Salute blood is probably the most influential performance Olympic bloodline in Australia today. Salute is found in eventers Panamera (4* eventing winner), Sandhills Brillaire (4* eventing winner), Adelaide Hill (3* eventing winner), F1 Pharenelli (Olympic 2012 short-listed horse) and London Olympic eventer Mystery Whisper. Blue Note is a beautiful type with great movement and with pedigree like this she should be an incredible jumper!
