Allegro Vivace is a lovely thoroughbred gelding called Charlie in the stable and is really sweet to handle in all ways. In the dressage arena Charlie is super quiet and has a lovely swing to his back. Charlie is comfortable in shoulder-in, half-pass and medium trot. He has on several occasions scored over 70% in the dressage arena. Showjumping, Charlie is 100% honest and is already jumping clear rounds in 1.20m classes. Charlie across country is in his element. Charlie will gallop on a light rein and is well-schooled. Charlie is very confident with water fences and will already take these fences on an angle. He lands with balance and will move forward with power if asked to, to the next obstacle. Basically that means you can easily take a stride out on related lines in a very composed way. Charlie is excellent when it comes to apexes and is great on curving, related lines to these fences. Charlie is very familiar with arrowheads and will reliably prick his ears and lock onto the centre of these fences. Charlie is good over ditches and very good on angled houses. Charlie is very comfortable at the bigger competitions and at his last start at the Goulburn CIC 1* (an international competition) Charlie was clear over the cross-country fences and clear under time. There were 47 starters and only eight other competitors were clear on time and jumps. Charlie will do another two 1* competitions and then move up to 2* early next year. We are very confident that Charlie will make 3* within 18 months.
