BML Totality Service Fee

Stallion Standing at Ryans, Heatherbrae, NSW

Liver chestnut Stallion, 16.2hh, 2014

Totilas x Resplendent R

GST payable in addition to the purchase price

BML Totality is a very elegant young stallion who has great paces, a natural softness, a beautiful back to sit on and what looks like a great attitude towards training. We are very excited! The breeding on BML Totality is to die for. His sire Totilas is still considered today as being the most amazing dressage horse ever seen, and we are unlikely to see another horse like him for another 100 years. Totilas broke all world records and is a living legend. The Totilas bloodlines are only just now starting to hit the competition scene and the results look breathtaking. Perhaps the best current examples are the Totilas young stallions Glocks Total US ridden by Edward Gal and Glocks Toto Jr ridden Hans Peter Minderhoud. Look up the Black Magic show at the KWPN stallion show 2019. BML Totality is out of the Regardez Moi mare, Resplendent R. Regardez Moi having three times been the Australian Grand Prix Champion and having represented Australia at the World Cup finals in Las Vegas. Resplendent R is out of Jumping Janie R who is by the Grand Prix winning dressage stallion Jive Magic. The mare line on BML Totality brings in lots of great bloodlines in Donnerhall, Rubinstein, Jazz, Pik Bube, Angelo and Salute. As a young stallion with a great future BML Totality is so exciting. As a young sire with the best of the best bloodlines BML Totality represents the edge of the edge in state-of-the-art bloodlines.

Bulawayo R

Chesnut gelding

21/07/2015 mat 17.2hh

Brentano II x Chatham Park Allie

On account of Ryans

GST payable in addition to the purchase price

Brentano II the sire of Bulawayo R is famous for producing international Grand Prix dressage horses including Brentina, winner of the World Cup Final in 2003 Goteborg, Sweden. Bulawayo R’s dam Chatham Park Allie is by Jaybee Alabaster. Jaybee Alabaster was ridden by Rachel Downs to be the Australian Grand Prix Champion and did represent Australia at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010. Alabaster did stay overseas to be campaigned in the Northern Hemisphere and was ridden by Hayley Beresford. Both Rachel and Hayley are Australian Olympians. Right down on the bottom line is Yardley Charisma II, Australian Grand Prix Champion again with Rachel Downs in the saddle and represented Australia at the World Cup final in Dortmund in 1999. Bulawayo R is genetically made up in the first instance of three Olympic competition lines in Jaybee Alabaster, Yardley Charisma and Brentina. Honestly to have so many top competition performers related right up close to a young horse is almost unheard of. Bulawayo R has huge paces and a wonderful easy going temperament. He is loveable! Bulawayo R has only just been broken in and as is typical with many of our young Auction horses as he is underdone. From a buyers point of view that is brilliant. I promise he is a very very good horse but will only realise his real value once someone makes him part of their family.

Byalee Bebe

Palomino filly

12/10/2018 14.3hh

Byalee Briar (imp) x Rubywood After Glow

On account of Byalee Stables

GST payable in addition to the purchase price

This is a unique opportunity to take on an amazingly well-bred warmblood pony dressage prospect. Bebe – aka Pebbles – is by the beautiful Byalee Briar, who is by one of the world’s top breeding/dressage stallions, Bjorsells Briar 899, and himself shows huge talent in piaffe and passage. As well as her international warmblood pedigree, Pebbles features an amazing mix of Welsh pony, stud book pony and Arabian blood from a number of champion families. Pebbles is out of Rubywood After Glow (Riding Pony Stud Book), whose grandsire Jackets Bluebird was imported from the United Kingdom and who has sired countless successful show ponies in Australia. Glow’s dam Langtree Ffansi-Free is by Fairley Temptation, five times winner of the Sire’s Rating Trophy National Riding Pony Show (Arabian Horse Society of Australia). Pebbles has an older brother sold on weaning and soon to be broken in, and her dam is back in foal to Byalee Briar to create another flash combination. Pebbles has a beautiful trot, uphill canter and correct walk – she can really move! She is stabled at night, rugged and handled and people friendly. Pebbles offers a chance to ride a youngster with movement to burn in an easy-to-handle size. So hard to find!

Byalee Briar Service Fee

Stallion Standing at Byalee Stables, Nulkaba, NSW

Palomino Stallion, 17.2hh, 2004

GST payable in addition to the purchase price

AOS goes to great lengths to ensure that we have the stallions with the best Grand Prix genetics in the world - this is one of them, and Byalee Briar is the only stallion in Australia by Bjorsells Briar 899 at this time. Briar is schooled in piaffe, passage, tempi changes and pirouettes and is the sire of Byalee Breathless, sold for $72,600 in December 2015. Unbroken youngstock by Briar sell for up to $16,500 on farm and while he himself has always been focused on a pathway to Grand Prix, the information we are getting is that Briar is also throwing serious jumping talent, evident in 3* eventer Bronze Boy, ridden by Heath Ryan and also scoring more than 69% at medium level dressage! Bjorsells Briar 899 (elite-listed stallion) was for seven years the world’s number one dressage breeding stallion. However, he actually scored higher for jumping than dressage at his stallion testing, as did Briar’s dam sire, Bernstein, another elite-listed Swedish warmblood. Briar has an advanced level qualifying average of more than 65% and is renowned for his amazingly calm temperament, which he passes onto his youngstock, along with his statuesque conformation and athletic ability. Byalee Beautiful, under saddle by Briar, is featured in this auction and shows his amazing temperament while Byalee Bebe, a palomino weanling, is also included. Live cover only.

Byalee Salao IX (Imp) Service Fee

Stallion Standing at Byalee Stables, Nulkaba, NSW

Black PRE Stalllion, 17hh, 18/03/2013

GST payable in addition to the purchase price

Salao IX represents a very different development in the breeding philosophy of Auction of the Stars. Holding a Spanish passport, classified with ANCCE and already APTO registered and graded, Salao offers the most royal of Spanish bloodlines from the Yeguada Militar (Royal Stud) and his pedigree is dotted with APTO and Calificado approved and elite stallions – his blood is the bluest of blue! Salao was APTO registered and graded prior to his arrival in Australia. Whilst still maturing under saddle, Salao shows a good overtrack in the walk, a ground-covering uphill canter and a scopey trot that promises much for the future – and on top of that, Salao has an amazing temperament that sees him described as a ‘teddybear’! This temperament extends to the competition arena, where he is winning and placing on scores of up to 77! Salao’s grandsire Ermitano III is the first Spanish stallion (one of only two ever) to be both elite and improver breeding stock, an accolade awarded on the basis of the genetic assessment of his descendants on a Global Genetic Index. Legendary dam sire Obcecado, also from Yeguada Militar, was three times Andalusian Spanish champion while his famous sire Bizarra VI sired 2004 Olympian silver medallist Oleaje as well as many Calificado sires, and Oleaje went on to sire champion stallion Habanero, at stud in the US. Yeguada Militar bloodlines are some of the most sought-after in the world and we are expecting great contributions to our gene pool in terms of piaffe and passage from Salao.

Byalee Wow Wie rw Service Fee

Stallion Standing at Byalee Stables, Nulkaba, NSW

Flaxen Chestnut Stallion, 15.2hh, 01/01/10

GST payable in addition to the purchase price

Wow is a stunning little stallion who has flown up the levels with an incredibly trainable attitude and an extreme aptitude for piaffe and passage! Wow hit Grand Prix at the end of 2017 and is going from strength to strength, recently scoring more than 65% at Grand Prix level and placed top 3 in the GP CDN freestyle at Willinga Dressage by the Sea earlier this year. Between rider Dimity Lourey and coach Heath Ryan, Wow is beginning to show some incredible talent in the piaffe and passage and they are excited to develop his strength. Dimity has completely focused on training Wow to Grand Prix level and it is amazing that he just keeps finding these extra gears! Wow is a stallion with a great temperament and is naturally sound, and although few people make this journey to Grand Prix with success, he is one of those special horses! Wow is by Wie Weltmeyer, a top showjumper and Grand Prix dressage horse before his international dressage career with Emma Hindle (UK). Wow’s dam is the impeccably bred TB mare Law Suit, from the highly sought-after bloodlines of Son in Law, Blue Peter, Precipitation and Vain. Wow’s offspring are just beginning to shine: Byalee Wizard was sold to NZ for $22,000 last year as a para horse, Byalee Warlock is scoring more than 70% in Sydney and Byalee Wishes has already won annual club championships at Hunter dressage clubs with his 17yo rider. We find that Wow really does throw his amazing temperament and look forward to see his youngstock advance to FEI.

Chatham Park Allie

Jaybee Alabaster (imp) x Yardley Charisma

PPT to Drumming R due 18/01/2020

On account of Ryans

GST payable in addition to the purchase price

Allie is a very unique broodmare whose sire and dam have both been very successful Grand Prix dressage horses. Allie is by Australian Grand Prix Champion Jaybee Alabaster. Jaybee Alabaster represented Australia at the World Equestrian Games in 2010 and again at the World Cup in 2012. Allie is out of Yardley Charisma who was ridden by Rachel Downs before becoming a broodmare. Yardley Charisma was the Australian Grand Prix Champion in 1998/99 and in 1999 represented Australia at the World Cup Finals in Dortmund, Germany. Since being a broodmare at the Ryans Allie has had numerous impressive foals some of which have been retained by Ryans. Allie is the dam of the big Brentano II youngster, Bulawayo R, in this Auction. Allie is in foal right this moment to our young stallion Drumming R. Drumming R is by De Niro who is responsible for such legends as Desperados FRH, Du Soleil, Deja, and so on and so on. Amazing. Drumming R is out of the Totilas mare, Top of the Morning R, who is also in this Auction. Totilas is considered perhaps the best dressage horse the world has ever seen in this generation. Drumming R does represent the very edges of genetics of the dressage world. Allie is a top of the range proven broodmare about to have a foal representing the edges of dressage breeding. A great opportunity.

Constellation R

Black colt

05/11/2018 mat 16.2hh

Wimborne Constable x Slinky R

On account of Ryans

GST payable in addition to the purchase price

Constellation R is by Wimborne Constable, who is impressing in the eventing world with success in 4*. Constable is the only stallion in Australia competing at the top levels in eventing. Constable is by the eventing stallion Contenda out of the mare Wimborne Paint it Black, who in turn is by Gribaldi. Gribaldi is famous for siring many of the Dutch Grand Prix dressage horses including Totilas. Constellation R is out of the Salute/Ludendorf mare Slinky R. Slinky’s dam Lynx is a full sister to Grand Prix dressage horse Londoner, who won the Trans-Tasman Grand Prix with Mary Hanna in the saddle for Australia in 1995. Slinky is by Salute, sire of Stirling Stilton and Victory Salute, who both represented Australia at World Championships Grand Prix dressage. Salute is also a major influence on the eventing world. Constellation R is a scruffy little thing in the photograph, however, he is going to grow into the most magnificent individual - pitch black with four white socks and a blaze. It may be hard to believe but Constellation R is going to be all quality with magnificent paces. It doesn’t matter what price Constellation R achieves, he will in time represent the cheapest horse of the auction.
