Woodside Aria - better known as Polly - is so beautifully bred. Behind Bowral Estate Wines is one of Australia’s greatest supporters of the dressage industry, Mark Dowling. Mark started out his dressage breeding program with the thoroughbred mare Miss Tense. What a terrible name for a dressage mare!! Anyway, Miss Tense has produced Sue Hearn’s Rio Olympic Grand Prix dressage horse Remmington and before that, produced Manhattan, reserve for Sydney Olympics and long-listed for Athens Olympics. Blue Hors Don Schufro is the sire of the Rio de Janeiro Olympic individual silver and team gold medallist Weihegold. When you put Miss Tense together with Don Schufro, you get Woodside Donatella, dam of Polly. Woodside Donatella is also the dam of Woodside Lady Loxley, who is being campaigned by David McKinnon at FEI level. That is a very fancy mare line. Polly is by Ampere, who is stamping his youngsters all over the world with sensational movement. This is being recognised by the Dutch, the Germans and the Swedes, which is where Ampere has been based for the past seven years. Polly is classified by the AWHA with a score of 79.28 and has exceptional bloodlines for dressage. Polly is a collection of the best dressage genetics here in Australia and overseas.
