November 2009 Auction
Bay mare, 16.1hh, 12/12/2000
Rituel (imp) x Duvall's Juliette
On account of Wendy Eddey
Gundaroo Rhapsody (Tess) has three lovely paces, showing great rhythm and elevation, with a good overstep. She is sensible and reliable both at home at at outings, never having shown any vices or bad behaviour – not even a pigroot! She can be ridden on trail rides alone or in company
and remains well behaved around sheep and cattle. She has been ridden every day and also left for months and then ridden without issues. On the ground she is always co-operative and easy to handle. Her conformation is excellent, with a great shoulder, straight legs and movement. She has a lovely length of rein and a very attractive head.
Tess has only been competed lightly and unofficially to date but has placed in competitive novice and elementary tests. Her sire, Rituel, took out the prestigious champion of champions award in 1999 and represented Australia in the 2000 World Young Horse Championships. An FEI stallion, he has sired many talented progeny. Maternal grandsire Deveron Duvall was a highly successful performance horse with an enviable reputation for dressage and show horses. Tess would suit a professional or amateur with ambitions.
