This is a big bay mare who is beautiful to ride, goes easily onto the bit and has a great extended trot. During the past couple of months she has been schooled by Gordon Bishop who holds her in the highest regard. Gordon feels that Venus is a great mare who has somehow slipped between the cracks and never received the recognition she is capable of. Venus has a great temperament and has to be of interest to the professional just as she has to be of interest to the recreational rider.
Venus is by Wetherby Barry Crump who also sired Octavius of Neika, who with Kate Boyes went to Grand Prix dressage level. Venus represents a real opportunity and is already winning, scoring 69% and 66% to win her last two novice tests.
