Seahorse R is an exquisite individual albeit a little bit hairy in the photo. The paces are exciting, seemingly straight out of a ballet display, being ever so light and precise with wonderful artistic interpretations. Seahorse R has large expressive eyes and the refined conformation that can only be described as exquisite elegance.
Seahorse R has very special genetics being by Starnberg. Starnberg was a sensational young licensed Sir Donnerhall stallion imported into the country by Pamela Maine. Starnberg was always destiny bound to be Pamela’s international dressage horse. Initially Starnberg trained at Ryans and by six years of age had mastered wonderful piaffe, passage and reliable expressive one-time flying changes. Absolutely amazing! Unfortunately it is very difficult for young serving stallions to concentrate 100% at competitions and so the decision to geld him was made once the ride was taken over full-time by Pamela. So Seahorse R is one of the very few Starnberg foals ever.
On the dam side, Delphinium R carries Donnerhall and Pik Bube bloodlines through Don Ramiro; these are arguably some of the greatest family dynasties in Europe. Delphinium R is also the mother of Kathryn Croft’s FEI dressage horse Snapdragon.
Seahorse R is brilliantly positioned to be a beautiful competition horse as well as a very serious stallion proposition.
