Byalee Ransom, alias The General, is a most beautiful Romance youngster. He is extremely quiet, and doesn’t need to be ridden every day, yet has an abundance of talent under saddle. The General has been broken in for some 18 months and has been brought along slowly but correctly. He is super easy to ride on the bit and co-operative under saddle. Like his father, Byalee Romance, he has amazing ability to collect, and riding a long side in lengthened canter and sitting him back again is already a joy. The dam, Byalee Storm, was an EA-registered riding horse training at novice level before going in foal, and boasts breeding such as Biscay and Star Kingdom.

Ransom is a very straightforward chap who has lovely movement and is already showing flair over a fence, comfortably clearing a metre. He is likely to be a top eventing prospect as well as an easy dressage prospect. Sire Byalee Romance was of course by national Grand Prix dressage champion Regardez Moi (imp) and was winning up to advanced level champions before being sold to Grand Prix rider Sharon Carroll. The General is a genuinely nice-natured horse who will undoubtedly will mature into a beautiful competition horse, but is happy to relax on trail rides in between!
