A rising 2yo warmblood gelding who looks likely to mature 16.3hh, Impression is an eye-catching youngster with plenty of bling. Conformationally, he is very correct with a naturally quiet and trainable temperament. He is an athletic horse with three good paces. He is powerful with expressive movement, has good rhythm, balance and plenty of suspension. Primarily bred for dressage, he also carries the wonderful jumping/eventing bloodlines of Souvenir and Wilkes on his dam line. Impression’s dam, Buckwell Park Accacia (Tracey Stead) was a Royal Show Champion who was shaping up to be a serious dressage prospect prior to injury. She is a full sister to Buckwell Park Grandkrusader, who was runner-up in the 4yo Young Horse at Dressage with the Stars. Impression is by Grandkavalier, who represents breeding that includes World and Olympic champions – Rembrandt and Ahlerich. Buckwell Park Impression’s sire, Starnberg, is a Sandro Hit grandson. A very talented and trainable stallion, he has now been gelded to pursue a Grand Prix career. Heath once described this horse as a ‘freak’, being able to piaffe and passage and master one-time changes by age six.
