Be Mystical must be one of the few representatives available today of the Australian sensation Reprieved. Reprieved was a thoroughbred stallion stood by the Barnes family in Victoria. The Barnes family was instrumental in the beginnings of the EFA and it seemed only natural that Repreived produced two Grand Prix dressage sensations
in Gamekeeper, ridden by Victoria Ferguson, and Old Pardon ridden by Olympian Mary Hanna. Today, knowing what we know, we realise that Reprieved was a very special stallion and his bloodlines should have been more carefully preserved as very few horses (perhaps less than 6%) are capable of passing on genetics which are compatible with training and performing the Grand prix movements.
Be Mystical is a lovely big roomy mare with an impressive length of rein. She is the mother of Whiskey Road Jamaica who is by Jive Magic and is also in this auction. Be Mystical is currently in foal to Regardez Moi (due 26/12/10). This would make for a memorable Christmas. Regardez Moi was the Australian Grand Prix Dressage Champion 2008-2009
and represented Australia at the World Cup Dressage Finals in the USA last year. This is a unique blend of performance bloodlines.
