Midnight Express is an impressive, compact, uphill type with an elegant front and great shoulder. His walk is four-beat and deliberate. He has an expressive trot with power and lift coming from the correct use of his hocks. His canter is elastic and balanced and with his sweet temperament that always wants to please, he has the makings of a top dressage horse. This is backed up by his outstanding bloodlines, being a De Niro (Donnerhall) grandson. His sire, Don Dancier (with Deon Stokes) is a young stallion coming up through the dressage ranks, being 2017 National Advanced Champion scoring more than 70%, and now PSG heading towards Grand Prix. Don Dancier has progeny competing successfully in both Europe and Australia, including Remi Down Under and Regal Don Debonair, both 4yo champions in their respective years. And don’t overlook the eventing/jumping heritage through Carbine and internationally soughtafter Souvenir. Midnight is a half-brother to Koko Doro, winner of Adelaide 3DE, later sold to the USA. In fact his dam, Buckwell Park Cascade, has had three of her progeny exported - BP Image and Deveron Magnetic for dressage. We are confident that Midnight will follow in his sibling’s footsteps. He is truly an outstanding individual.
