Tomfoolery R is a dappled grey gelding standing 16.1hh. Tomfoolery R is very quiet and competed successfully in eventing up to and including one star. He is a careful and straightforward jumper and is well and truly heading towards 3*. Tomfoolery R is bred to be a top-of-the-range eventer and at the time of writing, placed 4th at his last start at Goulburn CIC 1* . Tomfoolery R jumped brilliantly and was one of only eight horses to go clear cross-country and clear under time out of a field of 47. Tomfoolery R is rapidly developing into a point-and-shoot horse and is lots of fun to ride. He was clear in the showjumping at Goulburn. Tomfoolery R is good in shoulder-in and half-pass in both trot and canter. He has good extensions, super flying changes, established tempi changes down to changes every second stride and has started training one-time changes. Tomfoolery R has started a bit of piaffe and shows a lot of talent in that area. Tomfoolery R has already placed in Prix St George and Intermediate I dressage tests. Tomfoolery R is a very sound indivdual. It is very rare indeed to have a horse as versatile as Tomfoolery R. It is even more rare to have a horse who is so capable in the two disciplines. It is really very rare for a horse so young to be so advanced. Tomfoolery R’s sire, Gwaihirs Zodiac, was a successful eventer until injury cut short his promising future. Gwaihirs Zodiac is also the sire of Chris Burton’s superstar Haruzac who won Saumur CCI3* in 2012 and who came 4th at Burghley CCI4* in 2015. Tomfoolery R is improving and on his way up through the grades.
