Mascara is a powerhouse mover in a smaller, user-friendly package, which should really come as no surprise – imported sire the legendary AEA Metallic is on the Victorian A dressage squad scoring above 70% with Dirk Dijkstra at Grand Prix level and has been Grand Prix champion many times over! Metallic has proven himself as a top performer during the past 15 years and is still going strong at 19, as well as siring some of the most outstanding-moving foals seen in Australia. This is again no surprise since he carries the world-famous Olympic Ferro blood – Ferro was three times Olympic silver team medallist including at Sydney 2000. Mascara herself – alias ‘Jill’, brings the muscle of her Fresian dam line, Ruler and Lycyle B into the mix as well as a super straightforward temperament to complement her beautiful warmblood movement. Jill is that rare being, an easy ride that has a super eye-catching trot yet doesn’t need a daily commitment to look amazing or to compete successfully. Jill has competed and attended training clinics and is working through the through the concepts of shoulder-in, leg-yielding and counter canter.
