Dragonfly R is a gorgeous black colt with a blaze. There are two Drumming R colts in this auction and these are the first Drumming Rs to be offered for sale. Ground floor!! Drumming R himself is a combination of De Niro, who is the number one sire of current Grand Prix dressage horses in the world, and Totilas, who is thought to be the best dressage horse ever!! Drumming R is the absolute edge of the edge in dressage genetics. Dragonfly R is out of Sunflower R. Sunflower R is by Starnberg, which is a Sandro Hit, Donnerhall bloodline. Starnberg is also the sire of Jenny Gehrke’s horse Senator Nymphenburg, who at the 2019 National Dressage Championships won the Intermediate I and placed 3rd in the Prix St Georges. If there are seven only dressage dynasties of real note, the Sandro Hit and the Donnerhall families are two of them. Another dynasty is the Rubenstein family and this can be found in Red Morning Light R on the Drumming R dam line and Rocklilly R on the Sunflower R dam line. These are Regardez Moi mares. Regardez Moi is a legend in his own right and was three times Australian Grand Prix Champion. As a dressage baby this is as good as it gets!! What’s more, as an individual Dragonfly R is just so beautiful. Right now at this age, Dragonfly R is affordable for any enthusiast. It’s our opinion that this will be the first and last time Dragonfly R will be affordable!
