Avalon is a very impressive big horse with a gentle, willing and trainable temperament. He is a safe and confidence-building ride with a can-do attitude that makes him a pleasure to own. He is working confidently at medium/advanced level and has an amazing big canter with a definite ability for super collection and canter pirouettes. Avalon is easy to catch, shoe, load and float and will travel confidently in a standard straight or angle-load float or truck. He has been slowly grown, started and trained by Nichola Paff, who has taken many horses from breaking to Grand Prix. He has been out and about with many beach and trail rides giving him a sound and thorough education and can still be competed at preliminary level to enjoy quick success. His sire Sir Donnerhall is from that amazing combination of Sandro Hit and Donnerhall, producing Grand Prix horses all over the world. His dam Pacific Salita is by Salute out of a Gullit mare. Salita produced Pacific Eclipse, winner of the 4yo and 5yo CDI young horse competition and runner-up 6yo and now confidently competing at FEI with Katy Guest. She is also the dam of Pacific Riverina (Lot 3 in this auction). Avalon has started some jumping and could easily excel in this field, and is also top material for show hunter hack.
