Byalee Boutique is by the beautiful advanced dressage warmblood palomino stallion Byalee Briar, who is by Bjorsells Briar, the world’s number one dressage stallion for seven international years. Both Bjorsells Briar and Briar’s dam sire, Bernstein, are elite-listed Swedish stallions, along with Bjorsells Briar’s sire Magini, the sire of Australian Grand Prix stallion Magritte! On the dam line, Maeve is by Grand Prix stallion Richmeed Medallion (imp, dec) out of Stirling Flute (Salute, imp, dec). The Medallions have excelled at Grand Prix dressage and eventing, even starring at the 2012 London Olympics (Mystery Whisper). ‘Boo’ was broken in and ridden by a professional for two years, excelling in both dressage and jumping before being put in foal. This is arguably the best cross, Briar-Medallion, with the cream of pedigrees coming together to create an amazing little mare that can really move. Boo, like her big brother Byalee Boss, is a favourite on the farm, with a switched-on, outstanding personality. Boo is sold in foal to Heath Ryan’s stallion Questing R, a stallion that Heath believes is as good a dressage prospect as Australia has ever had in terms of our Olympic future. Already Questing is posting amazing results above 80% and is proving his worth at medium level on his way to Grand Prix. All of this together in Byalee Boutique does make for a very exciting package.
