Vivant x Pashiac

On account of Alan Skinner

Viva is a fascinating youngster and a blast from the past. Viva is by Vivant who is probably the most successful show jumping stallion ever to be in Australia with Chris Chugg in the saddle. For anyone interested there is a lot of footage on the net of Vivant competing with Chris both here in Australia and overseas. Vivant is the sire of Virgil who with Shane Rose in the saddle is very likely to be selected on the Australian Tokyo Olympic Eventing team in 2020. Viva is out of Pashiac who is by Gwaihir’s Zodiac. Gwaihir’s Zodiac as an eventer was started by Guy Wallace who moved him up through the grades with enormous success to 1*. Heath Ryan took over the ride on Gwaihir’s Zodiac after Guy’s accident left him unable to ride. With Heath, Gwaihir’s Zodiac continued his success with 6 wins in a row culminating in winning the CCI1* three day event at Berrima in 2002. The dam of Pashiac is the thoroughbred Pashris. Pashris was the mother of some brilliant eventers for Heath with perhaps the outstanding individual being Sydney Lights who sold for a very big six figure number. Viva has definitely inherited the jumping talents from his ancestors which makes him very very exciting. On top of that he is a quiet, very pleasant character. This is a serious opportunity.
