Blue is bred in the blue and has stunning paces courtesy of his breeding. His sire, Jive Magic, won the Sydney CDI Grand Prix in 2010. That’s a big deal. On the dam side he carries the Ilkay blood, which is related to the dam line of the double gold medallist in dressage from the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, Valegro. Good overtrack at the walk, good swing and power at the trot and a powerful canter with jump and elevation. Certainly a standout in the dressage arena, he is established at elementary level with shoulder in, traver, renvers, counter canter and simple changes. He is consistently schooling medium level with half-passes and flying changes. With his prior owner he was campaigned to 2* eventing. He is bold and brave cross-country, good through water, over ditches and banks. He has good jumping technique and has competed at 1.15m and was schooling confidently over 1.25m courses. His additional dressage training is a massive advantage in the eventing arena. Blue is pretty enough to go showing in hunter hack classes. He turns heads wherever he goes. He is in medium work, is sound, on full feed, rugged and stabled at night. Blue is only for sale due to a very unfortunate change in personal circumstances and through no fault of his own.
