This is a big powerful 2yo colt. He is conformationally very correct and oozes quality. He has a tremendous front, a great shoulder and is powerful behind. His walk is a true four-beat with good overtrack, his trot is expressive with great elasticity and his canter is uphill and athletic. He possesses a wonderfully trainable and ‘wanting to please’ nature. His sire, Buckwell Park Heir Apparent, is a young stallion just starting his dressage career, scoring more than 70% in his first couple of outings after being a Royal and Australian show champion as a yearling. He has a pedigree full of performance, his grandsire Bjorsells Briar 899 being seven times number one dressage breeding stallion in Europe while he also boasts internationally famous showjumping/eventing sire Souvenir and Grand Prix horse Jaybee Alabaster. Mastermind’s dam was both a successful show hack and dressage competitor to medium/advanced. Her pedigree goes back to the backbone of Australian warmblood breeding through Monopol, whose progeny includes GP stars Supertramp and Mongold, FEI horse Barncleuth Harvest Moon and World Cup showjumper Wirragulla Nicholas.
