OPH Star Invader is seriously from left field. This mare comes from Ashlie Oliver who worked at Ryans for several years a long time ago and who was a serious event rider and ended up with her own breeding program. Star is by Aurum Brilliant Cut who from very limited opportunity has produced some fabulous jumping horses. The Aurum horses were astutely selected by Kim Jacobson. The sire of Aurum Brilliant Cut is Brilliant Invader who is a thoroughbred and who sired Olympic Gold medallist and World Champion, Ready Teddy (Blyth Tait) along with lots of other superstars. On the dam line of Aurum Brilliant Cut is Sterling King and Black Pampas bloodlines, which produced volumes of top horses in Australia’s early jumping history. Star is in foal to Wimborne Constable who is the only stallion in Australia competing at 4* eventing level. Wimborne Constable does lead from the dressage out, however, he is such a jumper and you can see some free-schooling photos in this catalogue of Lot 8, Mallyon Hills Clair de Lune, also by Wimborne Constable. Star has had one foal and photos of this foal can be seen jumping on the Auction of the Stars website. Spectacular! Star also doubled up as a foster mum for an orphan foal. Star is really sweet.
