2006 April - Lot 10 - Byalee Maid

Black/Grey filly 02/01/06

Look at me!

Maid has all the presence you could wish for combined with breathtaking movement. A huge walk, a trot full of hock and knee action, a springy canter with natural jump - on top of this is the kind of Grand Prix breeding that would be wasted as a broodmare ? yet invaluable as a broodmare!

Maid is by Richmeed Medallion, one of the most successful, recognisable and trainable stallions in Australia today. Campaigned by Ann-Maree Lourey, he boasts perhaps the richest bank of Grand Prix dressage genetics in the country, being by Denmark?s May Sherif, the only sire ever of two World Cup final winners in Andiamo (Sven Rothenberger) and Matador (Kyra Kirkland).

His dam is by Dutch Gold (Olympic GP stallion with Jennie Loriston-Clark), in turn by Dutch Courage (also an Olympic GP stallion with Jennie).

His dam is out of Lonely Breeze by another GP stallion, Xenocles, out of Desert Storm, yet another GP horse. Donnabella (AWHA reg) is by Don Ramiro, carrying a double cross of Pik Bube plus Donnerhall, sired by Don Primero, the No 1 sire of dressage horses in Germany and top scoring under Karen Rehbein.

What a bank of genetics! Don?t miss it!
