Palmers Green ? ?Basil? ? is an up-and-coming eventing superstar ? in the 12 months he has been campaigned by four-star rider Emma Armstrong he has won or placed in almost every one of his eventing outings.
His dam lines go back to Vain, sire of great eventers including Australia?s Brilliant Invader who sired Blyth Tait?s Olympic gold medallist Ready Teddy.
His dam line also includes Sostenuto who also sired great horses like Heath Ryan?s very successful mare Music who was the dam of advanced dressage horse Stirling Lyric and Janet Dillon-Smith?s Grand Prix horse Lamar.
Basil has an amazing temperament and is happiest in the competition arena. He is beautiful to ride cross-country and gives a great feel both on the gallops and over a fence, where he shows a very scopey jump and a lovely technique, great behind.
He is already schooling elementary dressage and competing pre-novice and would suit anyone thanks to his very quiet nature. A great buy.
