2006 April - Lot 34 - Righto

Black colt 22/10/05

Righto is a black/brown colt, compact, brilliantly balanced and naturally airborne.

Righto comes from a blue-blooded pedigree of dressage horses, with a couple of international jumpers lurking in the genes!

Righto is by Regardez Moi, perhaps the most exciting new Grand Prix horse in Australia at this moment. Regardez Moi carries the Grand Prix bloodlines of Rubenstein, Donnerhall and Angelo ? with Olympic gold medal layered there!

However, Matt Ryan in England broke in Regardez Moi as a 2yo. Matt was supposed to break in the colt between him arriving from Germany where he was bred and being loaded onto a plane for Australia.

However, what isn?t often advertised because it wasn?t meant to happen was that ?extraordinary circumstances? led to Regardez Moi siring a couple of foals on eventing mares before he made the plane!

These are now 5yos and Matt says they are the best young eventers he has ever had! Hmmmm!

Righto is out of Slinky who is by Salute (see Jamboree). Slinky is out of Lynx, full sister to Londoner, Australian Inter I champion (Heath Rya)n as a 6yo, then GP winner with Mary Hanna.

Lynx is also the dam of Don Panache (Olympian Stuart Tinney) winner of the CCI* three day event in Sydney 2005. Lynx goes back to Benito, a Trakehner stallion ridden by Chris Chugg in World Cup showjumping classes.

Righto is bred for the big time.
