Lot 36 - Bonza Troy

Grey gelding 16.1hh 9/12/98

Bonza Troy was purpose-bred by Olympic gold medallist Matt Ryan.

He is a quiet young horse who has been missed mainly because he was originally owned by Matt, who is rarely in the country.

As yet Troy has not had a competition start but he is shaping up to be very serious! Troy’s paces are even and round with good activity from behind.

He has great rhythm and it will be interesting to see him develop. Over the jumps Troy is sharp in front, sensible and perhaps extra, extra careful!

The bloodlines reek of a top-of-the-range athlete. Stirling Sprite was ridden at Grand Prix showjumping level by Olympian Vicki Roycroft. He in turn is by Salute, sire of many international dressage, eventing and showjumping horses.

At Sydney 3DE in September, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th in the CCI* class were all by Salute! On the same weekend at the NSW State Dressage Championships both the PSG and GP classes were won by horses by Salute!! How amazing is that!

Double Cream features up there - sire of Seoul Olympic 3DE horses - Trade Commisioner for Australia and Casson Road for Korea.
