Lot 23 - Byalee Rumour

Bay colt 12/12/06

All four lines of imported blue-blooded pedigree come together to create this picture-perfect colt, Byalee Rumour. The spitting image of his fabulous sire and one of the first crop of Romance progeny in Australia, he is an outstanding creation from a double Grand Prix mating.

Byalee Romance is by Regardez Moi (by Rubenstein), one of the most exciting Grand Prix horses on the Australia dressage circuit. Byalee Rumour is out of Excelsior Belle, an elementary dressage horse by imported Grand Prix stallion Lutz, a magnificent trakehner stallion that was based in Western Australia with Sally-Leigh Woods.

Lutz campaigned in both WA and the eastern States at FEI level. Sadly, Lutz is now deceased but his wonderful qualities of presence, conformation, movement and trainability continue on through his daughters.

On the mare lines, Romance features the imported German bloodline Lanthan, another big black stallion renowned for the temperament of his offspring (interestingly, Lanthan is also influencing NZ with horses like champion youngster Under Discussion) and Belle is out of a Benito mare – Benito being another imported trakehner that is in the pedigrees of many FEI level horses including some that kickstarted Kristy Oatley-Nist.

Rumour has fantastic knee and hock action and has inherited his mother’s sweet attitude. A phenomenal competition horse in the making!
